How to Optimise Your Vape Battery Life

There are a few things to keep in mind that may maintain your vape battery’s performance.

The most important thing is to always follow the instructions on the device user manual or packaging to ensure you’re using your Vuse vape as intended.

Using the proper charger for your vape is an important and straightforward way to look after the battery. If you have a rechargeable device, chargers for different devices or counterfeit replacements might not be compatible and can damage your battery.

Always use vape accessories provided by the manufacturer.

Do not charge your battery for longer than the recommended charging time. Overcharging can cause your battery to overheat.

Avoid damaging or tampering with your vape’s battery. Don't use batteries that:

·       are swollen or dented

·       have torn, plastic wrappers

·       show other signs of damage or wear

Dirt and debris in your vape charging port can interfere with the charging process. Keep the charging area clean to protect your battery’s lifespan.

Overheating or cold conditions can make batteries deteriorate faster. Don’t leave batteries out in the sun or in a hot or cold car. Charge your device at room temperature¹. 

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety advises consumers not to charge batteries on a soft surface, as it can cause heat to be trapped around the battery².

Chain vaping – taking puffs on your vape in quick succession – can cause your vape battery to overheat, reducing its lifespan. Take a short break between puffs to avoid overheating.

There could be a few reasons your vape battery stops working. Start by checking for any obvious issues, like a clogged charging port or faulty charger.

If the problem persists, it might be because your vape has reached the end of its life. In this case, it’s time to replace your vape with a new device kit or disposable vape, depending on your preference.

Report any battery-related injuries directly to the original manufacturer³.
